This past week wrapped up the end of the Indiana General Assembly session. There was some fantastic discussions both on the Senate floor and in committee on heath and safety in child care. Several bills and amendments were introduced this year that focused on early childhood education and child care. However, the only bill to come out of the session was SB0268 that will create an Early Learning Advisory Council. The bill requires the education roundtable to establish an advisory committee on early education, with members from around the state, to provide professional and technical assistance to the roundtable.
